Key Responsibilities

Policy & Compliance: Develop, implement, and enforce information security policies and standards aligned with Bangladesh Bank’s ICT Security Guidelines.
Monitoring & Mitigation: Monitor the IT infrastructure (servers, applications, SIEM platforms) for vulnerabilities, threats, and anomalies, and ensure their timely mitigation.
Incident Response: Detect, analyze, investigate, and respond to security incidents, preparing accurate reports for management and Bangladesh Bank.
Vulnerability Management: Ensure all security patches are up-to-date and effectively address observations from all internal/external IT and Bangladesh Bank audits.
Security Tools Management: Utilize strong technical knowledge in SIEM, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, forensic analysis, firewalls, network protocols, and OS security (Windows/Linux).
Strategy & Governance: Support IT governance, audit processes, and compliance reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity controls and propose employee security training and awareness programs.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: 5–8 years of working experience in the Banking IT sector, with a minimum of 3 years of proven work experience in implementing IT policies and monitoring security systems.
Specialized Experience: Proven experience in incident detection, analysis, response, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and forensic investigations is mandatory.
Knowledge: Excellent understanding of security threats, attack vectors, cloud computing, cybersecurity, enterprise IT infrastructure in the banking domain, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Certifications: Professional certifications are preferred, including:
- ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor
- PCI DSS Implementation or QSA
- CISSP
- CISA
- CEH
- CISM

Skills & Expertise

Technical Security: Deep technical knowledge in SIEM, packet analysis, and the security of operating systems (Windows/Linux).
Risk Mitigation: Expert ability to perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
Compliance & Audit: Strong background in supporting IT audits and ensuring regulatory adherence (especially with Bangladesh Bank).
Incident Response: Proven ability to handle the full lifecycle of a security incident, from detection to reporting.

Experience Required

5 to 8 years of overall experience, with a core focus (min 3 years) on IT security implementation and monitoring within a banking or financial institution.
